Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. Florida Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Neither its content nor information from a linked third-party tool may be used for credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated decision. A lawful official FDLE channel or an FCRA-compliant provider is required for a regulated purpose.
Accuracy of Information
Public agencies may revise addresses, phone numbers, hours, charges, and request procedures, while record systems change as cases move. Every effort is made to keep the information useful, but accuracy at a particular moment is not guaranteed. Confirm instructions and fees with the government office before visiting or paying.
An Arrest Is Not a Conviction
An arrest does not prove guilt. A prosecutor may decline, amend, or dismiss a charge, and a court may resolve it in the accused person's favor. Later sealing, expunction, or correction can also make an older copy misleading. Confirm the disposition with the source, such as the Florida court, the booking or arrest agency, or FDLE.
A located record is a lead, not a verdict. The originating office alone can confirm its present content and public status.
Verify With the Official Source
No content here is an official record. Verify a court date, warrant, custody status, or registry entry with the agency that owns it: FDLE, the Florida Department of Corrections, the Florida Sexual Offender and Predator Registry, the proper court, or the local sheriff. Only the issuing office can provide an official or certified copy. Florida access is governed by article I, section 24 of the Florida Constitution, Chapter 119, and, for FDLE criminal-history dissemination, section 943.053, Florida Statutes.
