Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Florida Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be kept long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. It remains within the site team unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard technical information is recorded when a page loads, including:
- Page-view dates and times
- The referring website, when available
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them

- The device's assigned IP address

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Florida Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It identifies routes to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Florida Department of Corrections, the Florida Sexual Offender and Predator Registry, Florida courts, and agencies in all 67 counties. Official access is governed by article I, section 24 of the Florida Constitution, Florida Public Records Law in Chapter 119, and criminal-history dissemination rules in section 943.053, Florida Statutes. Visitor information is not compiled into a consumer report or a record about another person. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by that company's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices. Those terms are outside this site's control. Read the provider's policy before using its tool.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Florida agencies, courts, clerks, sheriffs, legal-aid resources, or commercial search services. Once an external link opens, the destination's privacy terms control the visit. Review them before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may measure activity across websites to select ads. That tracking takes place through the advertiser's technology and policies.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
- Advertising networks serving content on the pages
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and performance
- Search providers receiving a query through their tool
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect collected information. No internet service can guarantee complete security, so a breach or unauthorized access cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If information from a minor is identified, a request may be made to remove it.
Your Data Rights
Rights vary by residence and applicable law. Article I, section 24 of the Florida Constitution and Chapter 119 govern access to records held by Florida public agencies, while section 943.053 governs FDLE criminal-history dissemination; those public-record rules do not convert this private site into a government custodian. Subject to applicable privacy-law limits, you may:
- Opt out of processing when the law provides that choice
- Request deletion of covered personal data
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request access to covered information held about you
